Bombers 14u National Team Battles Long Schedule for First Tournament ChampionshipThe Keystone State Bombers 14u National team had a very interesting schedule this weekend, playing one game at 8am on Saturday morning followed by four games on Sunday that started at 8am and ended around 10:30pm on Sunday. That schedule also ended in a championship where the Bombers defeated the Diamond Jacks Super team out of New Jersey, the home team of Diamond Nation by a score of 3-1. The Bombers finished the weekend 5-0. Ben Shenosky was awarded the MVP of the tournament as he threw his second complete game of the season in dominant fashion surrendering only 1 run in the championship game. The Bombers outscored their opponents 40-8 in the 5 games of this tournament. On the season, the Bombers are 9-1 and have outscored their opponents 77-21 and are carrying a .361 team batting average with 13 doubles, 4 triples and 1homerun. They have also tallied 33 stolen bases in 10 games. |
