The Bombers 14u National Team’s fall season has come to a close as they won four straight in the Future Stars Monster Mash Tournament in Lebanon, PA.  This Championship marks the teams third straight tournament championship, each coming in dominant fashion.  During this weekends tournament, the Bombers ended 3 games by mercy rule and outscored their opponents 33 to 1.

In the opening game of pool play Gerald Debalko gave up just four hits and one walk while striking out two in a four inning game against the King’s Park Knights from New York. The Bombers scored 10 runs to end the game by mercy rule.

Game two saw another stellar pitching performance by righty Michael Heckman against the Harrisburg Hornets.  Heckman gave up 5 hits and struck out 3 in seven innings of work as the Bombers won 5-1.  Heckman threw 19 first pitch strikes in the game.  Ryan Flury, Caleb Sturtevant and Alex Ruiz all had two hits during the game.

The third game of the tournament saw Brycen Flinton throw a 2 hit shutout against the well known Keystone Cougars.  The Bombers ended this game in 5 innings and won 8-0.

Not to be outdone, Ryan Jones threw a complete game no-hitter with the help of some stellar defensive plays in the championship against the Avengers.  This game also ended at 8-0 in five innings.  The offense was led by Ryan Flury, Brycen Flinton and Michael Heckman who all tallied two hits in the championship game while Nate Uzelac also added a double.

This tournament caps a 13 game win streak that saw three straight tournament championships. Two Future Stars Tournaments and one at Sports at the Beach in Delaware.  The Bombers scored 124 runs in those 13 games and tallied 120 hits, 26 of which went for extra bases.  The Bombers also stole 81 bases in those three tournaments while only surrendering 17 runs on 52 hits.  The Bombers finish the fall season at 26-3-1 and this caps the year at 59-13-1.

Congrats to the Bombers 14u team on a phenomenal season!

Josh Rich Commits To La Roche College! @richjosh55

Keystone State Bomber, Josh Rich has announced his commitment to play at La Roche College.  Rich, a 5’9″ 170lb catcher has landed himself among the other Redhawks at one of the country’s top Division III programs. The program has been 305-170, a .642 winning percentage in the past 11 seasons.  The Redhawks have won 6 Regular Season titles, 5 AMCC Conference Titles and finished Runner-Up in the 2015 NCAA Mideast Regional and won the 2016 NCAA Mideast Regional to advance to the programs first College World Series.  The program set a new record for wins in 2016 setting the bar at 43 wins while finishing in the Final Four of the D3 National Tournament.
